No one is voting their way out of /this/, what they are voting for is who will do for them when the policy lag from the Big Beautiful Bill comes to fruition after the midterms. Everyone has already forgotten about it and that’s by design. People who vote based on a slogan that rhymes, will end up voting for the same legislators who handed them their asses, one cheek on delay
WFP has a long view of effecting change, this does include working with and leading their voters to Democrats when they are the most aligned politician serving in that area. It also includes mechanisms for holding those same people accountable en route to sustaining a viable 3rd party. SocDems are having a moment in NYC but that is largely due to the wealth stratification in NYC and Ranked Choice Voting. SocDems want to change Dems from within, something that no other sub branch has been able to do, largely bc Democrats are extremely bribeable. You’ll get no SocDem in Texas and certainly not in California. Meanwhile Republicans have had overt sea changes in their party led by billionaire astro-turfing that has resulted in tipping the scales of neoliberalism upwards faster. That is the one constant difference in the duopoly, speed. Republicans are the younger sibling who 50yrs later figured out how to plug in the second controller, still the same game, different outcome. Donald Trump is white disenfranchisement coming home, lying on your taxes and not washing your legs, taking personal responsibility to blame initials you just learned wrong about, and wanting white Jesus to come kill everybody bc you get out of breath rubbing one to online porn. It’s still the same America where one hand oppresses the other. Those white moderates MLK warned about are now Ezra Klein arguing for deregulation while Horse Shoe theory people write papers that make no sense bc its two right wing parties
Voting is literally the least you can do to engage in a Republic. People have been conditioned to vote their power away by proxy and to never ask what it takes to hold officials accountable. Holding them accountable requires a polity and you cant have one w/o a community. Vote. Call your Congressman. Individualism designed to be ignored. What you vote for next should be collectivism and control but you wont get there w/o contributing to a community even if it includes people you disagree with on some things, the same voting schema that empowers SocDems needs adoption before they get devoured by regular assed Dems - the way out isn’t through its together but it needs to happen quickly

Democrats have had multiple opportunities over 40 years to change and eliminate Reaganomics but have failed to do so. The only conclusion is that they have been complicit and in full support of Project 2025. Project 2025 is a plan to establish fascism in the US. Corporate government with a nationalist Christian base and world dominance by definition. The same goals of German Nazism. Economics were the primary methods for achievement - the debt society created by credit cards and home mortgages (real estate).
Federal politicians are largely in the corporate class - bought thru campaign contributions or stock investment. The policies over the last 40 years have been to slowly erode the wealth of Americans born after the boomer generation. The older of the boomers were established in life with reality and job careers which were quickly eliminated for the younger boomers. In fact a subgroup of boomers has been created called the "Jones generation" 1954 to 1964. This group suffered the stagnant wages, NAFTA, elimination of manufacturing jobs replaced by low paying service jobs and rising prices in all sectors of the economy. The result was the debt economy we are now in. "You'll own nothing and be happy". Only half true.
Additionally Fed lawmakers started to eliminate or reduce federal benefits of the Jones generation like Medicare, social security and the like just prior to them becoming eligible. (The politicians doing this were the older boomers who were in control).
This is the condensed version. A bit like Cliff Notes, but it's a start. The government is at war with the people.
