How the MSM could have the horse race it wants

Remarkably quickly, in fact

I won’t keep you in suspense - they just stop covering Donald Trump.

It’s that easy. Don’t talk about him, or his app, or mention him at all. Anyone wanting updates on him can tune into legal news or get on his crappy app. Make people chase information on him.

Bam, he loses a lot of his power because he’s not the topic du jour any more. Nikki Haley runs as the RNC candidate because the media doesn’t black her out. Make her sign a legally binding, irreversible waiver of her power to pardon Trump if she wins, and we’ve got a viable fucking election, folks.

It stops being about voting for or against Trump. Yeah, in the background, it probably still ends up ultimately being voting for democracy or fascism. But at least there’s an actual narrative to peddle, two candidates who could possibly be weighed on their merits if it doesn’t end up being democracy versus fascism in the Disney version.

If the media can just stop milking his orange teats for whatever ratings they can squeeze out of him, they can shut him down before it’s dark tonight and never look back. He’d lose all power outside what he could convince his most fervent cultists to do.

This is the way. Is our media brave enough, I wonder?
