Fractured flakes falling Shattered diamond skies Dazzling our tired eyes Crisp coldness is calling Brisk the winds of rime Blowing, bringing the chill Breathe deep, take your fill Be not troubled by time Swirling crystal splinters The air sharp and frozen This is how nature has chosen To nap throughout her winters Breath misting on the air A puff of particles pristine Like the old chapel Sistine As art, we're meant to stare The frost may nip your bones Seep in skin with intensity At least it all looks pretty Though as frigid as headstones A little nap the world takes Weary of the stress of being But it can be so freeing Well-rested for our sakes
